We decided to head to Birdy's house for a game of Monopoly during one of our usual daily flying email exchanges.
Hmm.. actually I cant rem what sparked the sudden interest in Monopoly. So starts the planning, RR to lug her sis's board over, and the rest of us to meet up at Birdy's place.
We made a reservation at Lei Garden for some good food after RWS (it was full during lunch time when we showed up at their doors!). Heard plenty of good reviews about it.
Paid a visit to the Peranakan Museum while bringing my KL friends around during one of my off days and boy, it was pretty interesting, more so if you're one of the millions of "Little Nonya" fans (I'm not).

Oh my I simply love those shops that sells gashapons in individual pieces!! Hohoho~~ I can finally buy the individual pieces without getting the full set and those that are out of production!! Weee~~~

Ok this is another Cagalli factor in play that got me to grab this with BRS. Got her for probably 2100 yen? Cant rem... Its about 30-ish bucks.
I was contemplating on this for probably the longest time, simply bcos I dunno BRS/dun understand the craze but it jus pops up in every corner of your eye!
I'll probably say the whole Chuo Dori of Akihabara is full of them!
Got these at Kotobukiya in Akihabara after eyeing them for a few stores.
Costs slightly cheaper than SG retails and they're seriously nice with very good quality.
The thing that sets these One Coin series apart from other gashapon sets is the magnet or metal pieces which is embedded in the figure, attracting it to the magnet/metal rod for display. That reads as easy assembly!

This is one anime where literally every male blood is an ikemen/bishounen. To the point that I cant put names to faces! (Not that I'm good at doing that anyway)
Thus I had to list them out with the help of RR's blog above. HAHA! I'm not as into Hakuouki as her, thou I did complete the series after coming back, I'm very sure I'll forget who they are very soon.
And yes, this is the set Birdy thrusted into my hands over at Yodabashi and I simply went to pay without knowing who they are!

起初,有想過要買票去. 但想到是在Expo而不是室內體育館就作罷了.
太遠了啦. 還有Expo的音響也不是很好,座位也不是階級式的,看不到就掃興了.
沒辦法,誰叫草蜢來襲,把體育館霸去了.
而且對陳綺貞的認識只屬還好而已. 只買過她的<太陽>專輯, 也只懂那幾首歌.
慶幸Leslie大哥給了我們官方門票!

The Hetalia collection started with a gashapon machine at Yobadashi or Osaka Tower (cant rem as usual in gashapon machine country), to which I donated a couple of 100 yens and out comes Russia and CHIBITALIA~~
Went on to complete the set, shop-looting China for 240 yen, Liechtenstein for 400 yen, Holy Roman Empire for 150 yen (wonders why he's so cheap..) and France for 200 yen. Chibitalia was going for around 600 to 1000 yen at the shop!! (cant rem, only rem he/she's freaking expensive!~)

Got these from one of those gashapon stores over at Nakano for 1195yen to accompany Set 2. v(^.^ )
An irresistably cute set that was picked up from the Tokyo Dome Jump Shop, and which I repeatedly asked RR if Latendo had sent out the preorders for this.
Its made from similar stuff as nendoroids so the quality isn't that bad.
Too cute for words!

Got him off the shelves at 2,100 yen which was pretty cheap.

Interest aroused when he saved Luffy in Marineford, claiming that he's a doctor before Buggy hands Luffy over to him.
Hehehehe. Had wanted to get it from Latendo initially but they did not bring in individuals for Law.

I was pretty bored looking into hundreds over of rental showcases in Akihabara that are selling more or less the same stuff, till I spotted this fella at a corner showcase, in a dark corner with Luffione in front and surrounded by platoons of OP SD figures.
As per tradition, I'll be doing a round up after each big trip.

Ok I din mention the manga/anime haven in Akihabara for the previous trip as the other group doesn't seem that much interested in these and I wasn't as crazily into figurines as now. Also, there's the ka-ching factor.
And since I've written about my tourist's view, I shall do a comparison post for this.

Definitely! The small, triangular object that boasts little calories but at the same time able to fill your tummy! What's more, they're TASTY! I'm saying those mass produced and sold at convenience stores thou.
SG needs these in their 24 hours shops!!
Bargain buys along Akihabara/Rental display storefronts watever-they-are-called
Absolutely regrets not lugging more nendoroid sets back! Just a lot of legwork needed not to commit suicide at the next store that sells the same toy 100 yen cheaper.
Oh, I miss the stores that sells unboxed gashapons/trading figures so that I do not need to buy the whole set just for that one toy!

Climate
Not saying I miss the freezing cold or the bitter wind, but when perspiration starts forming the moment we exit the terminal doors of Changi, yes I miss the jacket requirement for outdoors and cosing up under the comforters in Japan.

Obviously only needed in cold countries but they're really life saviors with a drowsy effect that makes one sleepy within a couple of stations.

The junior of K-On band, Azusa Nakano!
Being a year younger than the rest of the band, Azusa makes up for it with her skills and talent. Similar to Mio, she's shy, serious but is easily pacified. She often gets irritated over the band's lack of motivation for serious practice but ends up joining them in doing everything else but practice.
Yui Hirasawa. Accidental guitarist and front girl of the K-On! band.
The scatterbrained/clumsy/single-tracked mind (y does this sound like someone?) protagonist of the anime who joined the K-On! club just because it sounds like a club that only does light activities (軽音) and that she is not able to play any instruments other than the castanets in nursery school.
Introducing the left-handed bassist of K-On!, Mio Akiyama!
Naturally shy, she avoids being in the limelight and hence choses to play the bass, which is often in the background and supporting the band.
Although I decided not to get any more nendoroids after killing off Light Yagami (breaking its neck) earlier on..
I succumbed to her.
And got all her gang in as well. (Still waiting for Ritsu to fall in)
The nendoroid season is on again. For me that is.
I forgot I preordered this, and I had to collect it with the later arrivals.
No other poses except for this. The oversized gun/cannon is just so cute on him!
My very first POP!!
I actually forgot that I din blog about this baby. Its just so irresistable that I bought it off the shelves. Yes, no preorders (somehow managed to resist just bcos its not Zoro), but the real stuff just look really fantastic!
Of cos, this made me pay a bit more buckeroos for it. Current price stands at $220. Don't remember I paid that much. More like a couple of tens more than a hundred.
Something kawaii from the Strong World merchandises, a super deformed version of the entire Mugiwara Crew accompanied by fruits which they vaguely represent.

From the early stages of Sabaody Archipelago arc, where Duval was seen kidnapping Hatchan to get revenge on Sanji, to the incident along the streets of Sabaody Archipelago (Basil Hawkins, Capone Bege and Scratchmen Apoo), to the Human Auctioning House (Rayleigh).
Now I'm missing Killer to complete the Supernovas.
And they should include Sanji in this!
Rather random character selection, with Zoro, Helmeppo and Coby probably from the East Blue arc where Zoro becomes a pirate despite being a pirate hunter previously, Tashigi and Smoker from Loguetown arc (?), Kuina thrown in from Zoro's memory and Gaimon.. Gaimon.. Gaimon... hmm.. near Captain Kuro arc, which is near the 2 arcs mentioned above.
Thus I said random..
Vol. 5 of the popular Anichara Heroes series and Part 2 of the Water Seven arc + Enies Lobby. Vol 4 is simply incomplete without this!
Halloweenie!~ Halloween themed Collection 7 features Luffy and Chopper in Halloween garb with the remaining characters from the Thriller Bark arc.
This set contains people from the younger days of Luffy, with Shanks, Benn Beckman, Yasopp (Usopp's dad) & Lucky Roo from the Red Hair Pirates (Back row), the sea creature responsible for the missing Shanks' arm & kid Luffy. Luffy met Buggy and Alvida in his early adventures.
